Itinerary
We pick you up from
your cruise ship or hotel. Then we cruise along Tamaki Drive and the eastern waterfront. This area has stunning views and we briefly divert to view the million dollar real estate along Paritai
Drive [home to the rich and famous]. We continue through to Mission Bay and St. Heliers with their beaches, cafes and views across the harbour. Once at St. Heliers we'll show you the Cliff Top
drive with more million dollar properties and views before heading south.
We travel down to Botany Downs, the affluent centre of south east Auckland with the Botany Downs shopping centre
[150 shops] modeled on the Pacific Fair shopping centre on the Gold Coast in Australia. In a split second the terrain changes and we head through the landscape of Whitford with its
farms and lifestyle blocks and forests.
The countryside here is charming and undulating. We catch a lunch break at either Pine Harbour marina near the Formosa Golf Resort, or just
down the road at Maritai village. Maritai coast has views across the Tamaki Strait to Waiheke Island. Lunch over, we venture further along the coast to Clevedon, the vineyard and
farming area south of Auckland, with its green hills and lush pastures.
Leaving the Clevedon Valley we cross through the Hunua Ranges, the southern boundary of Auckland and view the Hunua
Falls, set in native bush surroundings of Hunua Regional Park. Eventually we cross the Bombay Hills, and follow the Motorway back to Auckland.
Our last port of call for the day is
Mount Eden, one of Auckland's oldest volcanoes and also its highest at 190 metres, from which you will have the best possible panorama of the region. |
