Dunedin, settled in the 1840's by Scottish immigrants, still retains its Gaelic character, full of impressive stone
buildings and also home to Otago University, one of the countries leading academic institutions. The Cruise Ships berth at Port Chalmers, a short distance from the city centre. The wildlife
sanctuaries of the Penguins and Albatross, are popular tour destinations. Visit the only castle in the country, Larnach Castle. Take the Taieri Gorge rail trip from the
impressive train station, or maybe indulge yourself at Cadburys Chocolate factory or the Speights Brewery, both offer tours and tastings. Check out the standard small group tours below or if you
want a Private tour see the Signature Class range of options. |

Coastal Hike & Tour The
majority of this full day tour will be spent enjoying the coastal beauty of the Otago Peninsula. This active tour takes you on a spiritual journey to a place inhabited by early Maori. Basalt rock
formations and rolling sand dunes dominate the landscape as we wander along a scenic beach that has become a favourite haunt of the rare New Zealand or Hooker Sea-Lion. New Zealand fur seals are
also present and the rare Yellow-Eyed penguin inhabits the area. You will also have chance to see Dunedin, including the best vantage points of the City, the Railway Station, Otago University and
the famous Baldwin Street, steepest in the World. |

Magnificent Gardens of Dunedin Tour
A 'must do' tour for all the Botanical enthusiasts or for those who simply love peaceful places and beautiful gardens. We will show you our Dunedin Botanic Garden which was the first established
in NZ in June 1863 making it the oldest European gardens in New Zealand. The Dunedin Chinese Garden is relatively new and the only authentic one in the southern hemisphere. It was built by
Chinese artisans and is a truly tranquil location in the middle of the city. Glenfalloch on the Otago Peninsula covers 35 acres and was originally a private property. The Peninsula Trust acquired
it and now it is a beautiful place to relax and have lunch. |
