All cruise ship passengers need to go through Immigration when they arrive in Melbourne. The tour guides and
transport operators wait outside Immigration with name boards in the general waiting area. This area has also has information on local tours, shops etc.
Note that this applies to all cruise passengers, even those inbound from another port in Australia.
All the tour operators meet cruise passengers just outside of the Immigration Hall.
Passengers have to walk past the tour operators waiting in the general waiting area, therefore there is no chance of missing their guides.
When the passengers are met, the guides then
lead them down to the vehicles parked beneath the Immigration Hall - a 5 minute walk from the escalator, all under cover. |
