Itinerary

Be met at the shipside by your tour guide, who will take you on an enchanting journey to one of New Zealand's top wineries, Church Road.  This winery is the third oldest winery in New Zealand and has developed a very unique winery museum, which we will take time to explore.  We will go inside the old fermentation tanks and witness the "old level lines and Tartrate Crystals" (wine diamonds) that are still visible today on the walls.

As part of this tour, we will also see and be talked through the wine making process of both White and Red wines and conclude with wine tasting from their cellar door range of wines. Lots of fantastic photo opportunities here.

From there we will visit two top boutique wineries. Both wineries offer a selection based from the Gimblett Gravels, with comparison tasting of the same wine style from another produced from the South Island.

This will assist you to be able to taste first hand the difference the "terroir" (soils) make to the finished wine. A very interesting comparison indeed. One of the two wineries also produces a Tawny Port.

The last stop will be at Hawkes Bay newest Ale and Cider House. This brewery is set in orchards producing a large range of Ciders, Beers, some "splits" and non-alcoholic ginger beer. Bar snacks are also available. Here we enjoy a tray of six drinks of your choice per couple. We will return back to your ship via the scenic coast road and take in the sights and sounds of the Art Deco capital, Napier.

During the course of the day, we will take the most scenic routes of this beautiful region for your enjoyment.
