Itinerary
Enjoy the stunning
scenery of the Queen Charlotte Sound (Totaranui) as you sit back & relax with a complimentary tea or coffee. We will call past the NZ King Salmon Farm to see the many NZ Fur Seals hanging
about trying to catch a salmon. As we meander our way through the sounds en route to Ship Cove (Meretoto), keep an eye out for the abundant wildlife.
You will have an opportunity to
disembark for 15 minutes at Ship Cove which holds key cultural heritage stories told in a beautiful sheltered cove with a lush coastal forest backdrop. On rejoining your cruise vessel you will
visit Resolution Bay to feed bread to the pet fish. From 1885 until 1892, a section of Endeavour Inlet was an antimony mine settlement. Little of the settlement remains today, and is now filled
with a wide range of accommodation for visitors and walkers along the Queen Charlotte Track.
We will view Furneaux Lodge and Punga Cove Resort in Endeavour Inlet before returning back to
Picton. |
