Explore the picturesque Tauranga's harbour from onboard Passing Time, a purpose built sailing yacht. Cruise past the enormous container ships, sail amongst the anchored boats off Pilot Bay. Then head across the famous main channel, if we are lucky a ship will be entering or leaving the port, adding to the excitement. Then past beautiful Matakana Island into the inner parts of the harbour then back to the sanctuary of the Marina. Duration 3 hours dependent on wind strength.

Itinerary

A short one minute walk from the gangway will take you to Salisbury Wharf where you will be met by your skipper and crew. Enjoy exploring the stunningly beautiful Tauranga Harbour which stretches 40 kilometres inland.

Dolphins frequent these waters, and it is not unusual to see Stingrays playing in the shallows of Matakana island. We will sail to Omokoroa, a small village on the inner shores of the harbour and get a glimpse into the good life being lived here.

The fishing is bountiful, and as we cruise the harbour, we may get to see the local fisherman bring in a range of fish from Snapper, to John Dory, or even Giant Trevally.

You wil be met at the ships gangway, look out for a name board with either your group name on or TRG-19.
 
Note, if the ship arrives after 0930 then the tour will begin 30 minutes after arrival, or as soon as passengers can leave the ship. Should the ship leave earlier than 60 minutes after the tour is due to end then we may shorten the tour accordingly.
